Daria Tudor was born on July 25, 1997 in Ploiesti, Romania. She started playing the piano in her hometown, at the age of 4, with Anca Florentina Borcea. From 2004 to 2014 he studied with the professors Serban-Dimitrie Soreanu from the National University of Music Bucharest and Adriana Bocăneanu from the National College "Dinu Lipatti" - Bucharest. In February 2015 she was accepted to Prof. Pascal Devoyon and Rikako Murata class, at the Universität der Künste Berlin. From October 2018 she studies with Prof. Björn Lehmann, at the same university.

 

Since May 2015, Daria has been working at the Universität der Künste Berlin, as docent in the contemporary Lied classes of Prof. Axel Bauni and Eric Schneider, as well as accompanist of the cello class - Prof. Konstantin Heidrich.

Participated in festivals in Finland, Germany and Austria: “Alpenarte” - Schwarzenberg, October 2018; “Kissinger Sommer” - Baden Kissingen, June 2017; “Mozartfest” - Würzburg, June 2016; “Crescendo” Festival - Berlin, May 2016, 2017.

 

Daria attended masterclasses with: Maria João Pires, Elisabeth Leonskaja, Grigory Gruzman, Pavel Gililov, Boris Petrushansky, Michel Béroff, Petras Geniusas, Graeme McNaught, Aaron Shor, Claudio Marinez Mehner, Jacques Rouvier, Leon Fleisher, Andrei Gavrilov, Cristian Beldi , Hakon Astubo.

 

Until 2016, Daria won several important prizes at international and national competitions: October 2017 and 2019 - International Competition 

"Paula Solomon-Linberg" - Prize for best pianist; August 2016 - Valsesia Musica Piano Competition - "Giovani Turcotti" special prize; May 2016

2nd Prize at the International Competition to debut on the Berlin Philharmonic; April 2015 - XVIII edition of the International Piano Competition

in Montrond les Bains - France, section "Great Prize" - 1st Prize; February 2015 - XII edition of the International Piano Competition "Citta di Padova" section "Soloists with orchestra" - 1st Prize; 2005 - European competition “”Antonino Miserendino, Palermo - 1st prize; 2004 - International Piano Competition “Jeunesses Musicales”, Bucharest - 1st Prize.

 

She has also collaborated with artists such as Mihaela Martin, Zakhar Bron, Margarita Balanas, Haruma Sato, Julia Sophie Wagner, Marie-Luise Dressen, Julian Freibot, Ludwig Mittelhammer, Iida Antola, Verena Tonjes, Vashti Hunter, Christel Lee, Alexandra Paladi, Mălina Ciobanu, A.G. Weinberger, Ulpiu Vlad, Fred Popovici, Aribert Reiman. Daria's interpretation of the Shostakovich Sonata no.2 was included in the archive of the Romanian Broadcasting Society, as well as a series of chamber  works (performed, in 2013, along with the “Sternin” Trio) by L.v. Beethoven, S. Rachmaninoff and D. Bughici.
